Mark D. Tolles, II

At an early age, Mark developed a strong interest in law and the rights of others, as he watched his father represent clients in various civil proceedings as well as prosecute and defend individuals in criminal proceedings. Mark firmly believes that the strength of our legal system rests on how, and to what extent, it allows those who have been injured to seek and obtain justice and permits those who have been accused to fully defend themselves.

In addition to defending these rights in the courtroom, Mark fought for them during his service in the United States Army and Army Reserve as a non-commissioned officer and medic.

Prior to joining Benson & Sesser, LLC, Mark spent four years working at a law firm in Cleveland, where he represented individuals and families in cases throughout Ohio involving serious injury and wrongful death caused by nursing home abuse and neglect, sexual assault, medical malpractice, severe automobile collisions, inadequate security, and products liability. Throughout his career, Mark has helped his clients recover over $20,000,000.00 in damages through settlements and verdicts in personal injury and wrongful death cases.  He has practiced in over half of Ohio’s 88 counties and has briefed and/or argued over 30 appeals before the Supreme Court of Ohio and Ohio courts of appeals.

At Benson & Sesser, LLC, Mark remains committed to vigorously representing individuals and businesses in cases involving personal injury and other civil litigation, as well as providing effective and efficient representation in criminal defense and domestic relations matters, in Ross County and the surrounding counties.

Mark is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ross County Bar Association.

Mark enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends and being involved in community activities.
